About the Directorate and Division
Data and Analytics Transformation Directorate (DAT)
DAT is leading the transformation of the Bank’s use of data and analytics. The directorate is responsible for the delivery of the Bank’s Data & Analytics (D&A) Strategy, including moving the Bank’s data and running its analytical processes on the cloud, strengthening how we acquire and share data externally, rolling out artificial intelligence tools, and delivering a data and AI literacy agenda for all roles.
Data Strategy Implementation Division (DSID)
DSID sits at the heart of DAT, responsible for providing a wide range of data and analytical products and services and taking the lead on ensuring the Bank’s use of data is well-governed. It directly enables colleagues to use data at all points of the data cycle, by providing many of the central D&A tools, platforms, services, training and specialist support.
About the Team
You will be part of the Communications team within the Skills and Culture Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering communications and engagement activities that support the Bank's Data and Analytics Transformation agenda.
Role Responsibilities
- Support and deliver communication and engagement activities for programmes and strategic initiatives across the Data Sub-Portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships with programme teams and stakeholders to understand their communication and engagement needs and support delivery of targeted approaches.
- Create compelling communications content across a range of channels, including intranet articles, presentations, newsletters, videos, campaigns and events.
- Support the development and implementation of communication and engagement plans, contributing ideas and recommendations to help reach and engage audiences effectively.
- Lead the delivery of specific communications products, campaigns, channels, events or engagement activities, ensuring high-quality outputs are delivered and achieve intended objective.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activity, using insights and feedback to inform future activity and continuous improvement.
- Provide communications support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders, drawing on established best practice and communications standards.

Minimum Criteria
- Excellent communication skills, with experience translating complex topics into clear and engaging communication activities, across various formats for internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Criteria
- Ability to understand stakeholder and audience needs and deliver effective communication and engagement activities.
- Experience creating engaging content across a range of communication channels and format.
- Experience building and maintaining effective working relations and collaborating with stakeholders across different teams and business areas.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve communication activities and contribute ideas that enhance engagement and impact.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business areas to ensure our communications are aligned and effective.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supporting change, transformation or programme communications.
- Knowledge of data, technology, transformation or change-related communications.

Flexible Working
This role is open to job shares and flexible working patterns. It can be based in either our London or Leeds office, or hubs in Cardiff, Newcastle, Glasgow, or Belfast with prior confirmation from the hiring manager.
