About us
SARI is a Bristol-based charity, working throughout the Avon and Somerset area, set up by and for victims of racial harassment and hate crime. We run a free, confidential casework service and deliver training, consultancy, educational and community cohesion-related activities—which are all designed to promote safer, more respectful, diverse communities. SARI is proud to have a staff team that is very representative of the communities we serve. We’re client-centred, community-focused, and over the years have gained high levels of trust and respect from local people and agencies. We’re looking for a candidate to join this dynamic team in our mission to make a positive difference.
About this role
Working across communications, fundraising, and monitoring, you’ll play a vital role in communicating our work through case studies, stories, impact evidence, and images to raise our profile and motivate people to give, including through social media, our website, print publications and other promotional media. You’ll manage donor stewardship, building our individual giving. You’ll also contribute towards our grant fundraising pipeline, developing applications and working on new contracts, and helping us look after the monitoring requirements for all our funders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
