About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our public engagement team and contribute to the delivery of the Academy’s public engagement activities, including our highly successful Ingenious grants scheme and public events.
Who We're Looking For
- You will have an interest in STEM and public engagement and experience in a communications role.
- You’ll have experience in developing content for a non-specialist audience such as newsletters and case studies.
- You’ll be creative and proactive but also highly organised, adept at multitasking and able to keep accurate and up to date records and monitor projects.
- You will have excellent written and oral communications skills and enjoy supporting and building effective working relationships with stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be joining a small and friendly team who work to support engineers and public engagement professionals across the country to deliver innovative and impactful public engagement activities across the UK, as well as supporting the Academy’s own public engagement initiatives, including our annual event Innovation Late, designed to engage new public audiences.

Our Location
Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office-based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.
