Communications Consultant
Oxford PharmaGenesis, part of the Klick Health family, is looking for a Communications Consultant to join one of our growing teams. This role would suit an experienced Medical Writer looking to take on greater account ownership, contribute to strategic planning, provide senior oversight of a wide range of projects, and support the development of less-experienced Medical Writers. Join us for the next step in your career!
In this role, you’ll primarily work on oncology, rare disease and weight management publications. Projects include preclinical, clinical and real-world data, plus accompanying materials such as infographics, plain language summaries and medical science liaison training decks. You will have the opportunity to support a diverse range of medical affairs and above-brand projects, so experience of on-site attendance and delivering events would be beneficial.
Requirements
We are looking for a talented Communications Consultant who:
- has a science MSc or PhD, preferably in life sciences, or equivalent experience
- has extensive experience in a medical communications agency
- has experience delivering high-quality publications and medical affairs projects
- is comfortable contributing to strategic projects, including planning workshops
- can effectively partner with clients to deliver projects in a solutions-focused, innovative and creative way
- can oversee projects, ensuring that deliverables are consistently high-quality
- demonstrates versatility, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
