Consultant (Litigation & Disputes)
Thorndon Partners is growing its specialist Litigation & Disputes team and is looking for a talented Consultant (equivalent to Account Manager level) to join the practice in London.
This is an ideal next step for someone currently operating at Senior Account Executive level, or newly appointed as an Account Manager, who is ready for greater responsibility, more project management ownership, and a promotion.
We are ideally looking for a multi-lingual Consultant, preferably speaking French or another widely spoken language in addition to English. Digital experience is also helpful.
The Litigation & Disputes practice provides communications support to clients involved in complex issues, including legal disputes, investigations, crisis management, public regulatory debates and humanitarian campaigns. Our clients include governments, high-profile investors, global businesses, sports entities, academics, campaign groups and NGOs.
Thorndon Partners was launched in June 2024 by a senior team with decades of experience in strategic communications.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage strategic communications campaigns and projects: Support the conception and delivery of impactful campaigns and projects on behalf of clients, including crisis and issues management as needed, with growing ownership of day-to-day project management.
- Drafting of external communication materials: Such as client strategies, messaging, press releases and other digital, media and social media collateral.
- Digital and content support: Contribute digital expertise across accounts, including social media strategy, content creation and online monitoring, helping clients navigate their online presence during sensitive or high-profile matters.
- Account management: Play a key role on accounts, ensuring that deliverables are on time, clients are kept up-to-date as needed, and internal team members are on track with their deadlines.
- Media relations: Support proactive media briefings as well as corrections and rebuttals to inaccurate media reports.
- Managing research and monitoring: Inform our communication strategies by driving and supporting the development of deliverables such as perception audits, monitoring tools and processes.
- Help shape new business development: By supporting new business proposals, representing Thorndon Partners at events, and drafting thought leadership materials including proprietary reports.
- Client relations: Be client-facing across projects, managing inbound requests and acting as a key point of contact for clients when seeking advice.
- Innovation in communications: Stay informed on industry, regulatory and policy trends to help Thorndon Partners keep abreast of the complex environments our clients work in.
- Team culture and development: As part of a growing company, contribute to fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and engaging workplace culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
