The Tennis & Rackets Association (T&RA)

Location: The Queen’s Club, London
Working pattern: Part-time, Tuesday-Thursday, office-based
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover, initially for approximately 12 months
Start date: Tuesday 3 November 2026
Salary: £18,000

About the Role

The Tennis & Rackets Association (T&RA) is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and creative Communications Coordinator / Membership Secretary to provide maternity cover for this varied and important role.
Based at The Queen’s Club, the successful candidate will play a central role in communicating the work of the Association to members, players and the wider public, while also managing membership administration and supporting the T&RA’s busy programme of tournaments, events and initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this is a varied part-time role combining communications, digital media, marketing, membership and administration. It would suit someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Marketing

  • Coordinate communications relating to Real Tennis and Rackets across the T&RA website, monthly newsletter, email communications and social media.
  • Keep website and social media content current, engaging and relevant, with updates sometimes required daily during the sporting season and major tournaments.
  • Produce and coordinate promotional materials including posters, programmes, tickets, roller banners and social media graphics.
  • Support the promotion of major events including the Real Tennis British Open, Rackets World Championships, National Schools, National Open, Bathurst Cup and T&RA Annual Dinner.
  • Support the Events Co-Ordinator in promoting fixtures and events.
  • Work with the Chief Executive on marketing and communications initiatives to increase awareness and participation in both sports.
  • Develop new digital and social media initiatives, particularly those aimed at engaging younger audiences.
  • Ensure communications reflect the values and integrity of the T&RA and appropriately support the interests of sponsors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
