Job Title: Communications Coordinator
Company: MADE Careers
Location: London
MADE Careers is working with a leading architecture, landscape and design practice looking to appoint a Communications Coordinator to join its London team.
This is a varied communications role for someone who is a strong writer, visually minded and genuinely interested in the built environment. You’ll work across projects and studios to find the stories worth telling and turn them into engaging content across PR, digital, social, awards and the practice’s wider brand communications.
It would particularly suit someone with 2 - 5 years’ experience who wants a broad role rather than being limited to one area of communications.
The Role
Working closely with the senior communications and marketing team, you’ll help raise the profile of the practice, its people and projects.
There’s a strong editorial element to the role, so you’ll need to be able to spot a good story, write confidently and understand how strong imagery and design can bring it to life.
You’ll also have plenty of involvement across Instagram, LinkedIn and the website, alongside PR, awards, events and wider studio communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop stories and content around projects, people and wider industry themes
- Write and edit news, project stories, award submissions and other communications
- Support PR activity and identify opportunities for media coverage
- Create and manage content across Instagram and LinkedIn
- Help grow social audiences organically and improve engagement
- Develop and update website content
- Support the continued development of the practice’s digital presence
- Create graphics and visual content using Adobe Creative Suite
- Support brand consistency across digital and printed communications
- Work closely with teams across multiple UK studios to identify stories and opportunities
- Coordinate photography and video shoots
- Support events and wider communications activity
- Keep up to date with digital, social and communications trends

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why This Role
This is a really nice opportunity for someone who enjoys the storytelling side of architecture and design and wants a role with plenty of variety.
