Communications & Engagement Lead
Umbrella Rate: £ 500.00 - £550.00 per day Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid 20% onsite in Frimley
Clearance: Must be eligible for SC Clearance
Nationality Requirement: UK Passport Holder
The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Communications & Engagement Lead to support a major transformation programme, driving stakeholder engagement, change communications, and business readiness activities. This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with programme leadership, business stakeholders, and communications teams to ensure key messages are effectively communicated, engagement remains high, and successful adoption of change is achieved across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communications and engagement strategies aligned to programme objectives.
- Create and execute communication plans across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities and build strong working relationships across the programme.
- Produce high-quality communication materials including presentations, briefings, updates, and leadership messaging.
- Support programme-wide change and adoption initiatives.
- Engage and coordinate change champions and stakeholder networks.
- Partner with internal communications teams to ensure consistent messaging.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and provide insight-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Support business readiness and organisational change activities throughout the programme lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering communications and engagement activities within large transformation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing and executing communication strategies and plans.
- Experience delivering change communications within complex organisations.
- Understanding of organisational change management principles.
- Experience supporting business readiness, adoption, and engagement initiatives.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Experience producing communications for audiences ranging from end users to senior leadership.

Desirable Experience
- SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- ERP implementation programmes.
- Change Management certifications such as Prosci, APMG, or equivalent.
- Internal or corporate communications background.
- Experience in highly regulated or governance-driven environments.

You'll be a confident communicator with a proven ability to engage stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive successful change outcomes. You'll be equally comfortable working with senior leaders, project teams, SMEs, and end-user communities, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful communication throughout the transformation journey.
