About The Role and Team
Quantum Motion is a fast-growing quantum computing scale-up based in London founded by internationally renowned researchers from UCL and Oxford University with over 40 years’ experience in developing qubits and quantum computing architectures. Bringing together state-of-the-art cryogenic facilities and an outstanding interdisciplinary team, we are developing quantum processors based on industrial-grade silicon chips, with the potential to radically transform computing power in areas such as materials modelling, medicine, artificial intelligence and more.
Our Team
Our Marketing team is at the heart of how Quantum Motion shares its vision with the world. As a newly established team, we're building the brand, shaping the narrative, and creating compelling content that showcases our pioneering quantum computing technology. Working closely with Product, R&D, Business Development, and leadership, we translate complex innovation into engaging stories that inspire customers, partners, investors, and the wider quantum community.
We’re looking for an ambitious, hands-on Communication & Events Manager to help shape the voice and visibility of Quantum Motion. As a key member of our newly formed global marketing communications team, you'll take ownership of everything from managing our (international) PR consultants and securing media coverage to delivering standout conference experiences around the world. If you're early in your career, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excited by the opportunity to put quantum computing on the global stage, this is the role for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
