Role Overview

The F1 ACADEMY Communications Executive supports the delivery of the series’ communications strategy across media, broadcast, digital and stakeholder channels, helping to grow awareness and strengthen engagement with key audiences.

The role supports media relations, race weekend communications operations and stakeholder management, acting as a key point of contact for drivers, teams, media and broadcasters.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day media relations, including interview requests, accreditation and media enquiries.
  • Draft and distribute communications materials including press releases, briefing documents, media notes and spokesperson quotes.
  • Coordinate communications activity across race weekends, tests and major events, managing schedules, media commitments and on-site requirements.
  • Draft briefs to prepare and support spokespeople and drivers for media appearances, interviews, broadcast activity and public speaking engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, content creators, partner communications teams and key stakeholders, identifying new opportunities to expand F1 ACADEMY's reach.
  • Manage F1 ACADEMY media accreditation processes and communications tools, including the media inbox, distribution lists, press materials, templates and online resources.
  • Proactively identify, pitch and develop media opportunities for F1 ACADEMY, its drivers and spokespeople.
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of the F1 ACADEMY creator engagement programme, coordinating creator access to race weekend and events and supporting content plan ideation and talent access.
  • Work with the F1 ACADEMY social media, editorial, commercial and events teams to coordinate announcements and maintain consistent messaging across channels.
  • Support issues management by escalating enquiries and sensitive matters promptly and coordinating responses in line with agreed communications strategies.
  • Manage media rights approvals and camera permit processes for race weekends, tests and events, ensuring filming activity complies with relevant access requirements.
  • Monitor media coverage, maintain reporting trackers and produce regular communications performance reports.
  • Support the wider F1 Communications team when required, including with performance reporting and the delivery of major events.

What Are We Looking For?

Personal Qualities

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in public relations or communications, gained in-house or at an agency, is required.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Interest in motorsport, women's sport and the media landscape.
  • Understanding of media rights, accreditation and event operations is desirable.
