The opportunity
This is a brilliant early-career opportunity for someone who loves motorsport, loves communicating and wants to build a career in content and communications.
You will join Motorsport UK Creative, our in-house team spanning strategy, insight, marketing, content, digital, and communications, and help bring the sport to life for members, media and new audiences.
You do not need a long CV or years of press-office experience. We are looking for some evidence that you can write – through work, study, volunteering, a club, a blog, social content or your own projects – but we care just as much about your energy, curiosity, ideas and willingness to get stuck in.
About Motorsport UK
Motorsport UK is the national governing body and membership organisation for four-wheeled motorsport in the UK. We represent a passionate community of more than 100,000 people, including 64,000 competitors, 11,000 volunteers and officials, and more than 600 clubs.
Our ambition is simple: to help more people enjoy motorsport, more often. Clear communication, compelling storytelling and a confident public voice are central to making that happen.
What you will do
- Write lively, accurate content for the Motorsport UK newsroom, member emails, media materials and management briefings – adapting your tone for different audiences.
- Help spot, research and develop stories from across British motorsport, from grassroots competition and volunteers to major events and national campaigns.
- Support the planning, production and delivery of Revolution, our monthly member magazine, including coordinating contributors, writing features and keeping production on track.
- Develop press releases, manage media enquiries, interview coordination, briefing notes and proactive story pitching.
- Publish and update content through our website content management system, making sure it is clear, timely, accessible and on brand.
- Bring fresh, digital-first ideas for how stories can work across web, email, social, video and magazine content – not simply repeat the same copy everywhere.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, clubs, competitors, volunteers, partners, journalists and contributors so that good stories reach the team quickly.
- Help keep editorial plans, deadlines, approvals and shared information organised, while checking facts, names, dates, links and spelling carefully.
- Track how content performs and use what we learn to make the next story, edition or campaign stronger.
- Pitch in across Team Creative when priorities change or a big motorsport moment demands a fast, collaborative response.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
