A bit about the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic intern to support our communications team in the lead-up to the British Rowing and World Rowing Indoor Championships. This is an exciting opportunity to get first hand experience in the day to day running of a social media and communications team, and experience the exciting buzz of reporting during a major sporting event.
A bit about you
What you'll be doing:
- Writing stories and features about the sport, athletes, and build-up to the Indoor Championships
- Help manage the day-to-day social media activity
- Supporting live reporting/coverage during the event itself
- Assisting with general editorial and communications tasks as they come up
What we're looking for:
- Knowledge of rowing across all disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good editorial judgement - knowing what's newsworthy and how to frame it
- Comfortable using social media platforms
- Enthusiastic, a fast learner, and a can-do attitude

Additional Information
Nice to have:
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
