Role Description

The Communications Intern will support day-to-day communications activities to help client brands get seen and heard across key channels. This internship role is remote, allowing the intern to collaborate with team members and partners from any location during agreed working hours.

  • Assisting with drafting email campaigns
  • Researching media outlets and platforms
  • Helping coordinate outreach to journalists, publishers, and partners
  • Supporting content development for digital channels
  • Contributing to tracking coverage and performance metrics
  • Participating in internal meetings to brainstorm communications strategies

This role offers hands-on experience in communications and brand visibility, along with mentorship from experienced practitioners.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing abilities, with attention to detail and clear, concise communication
  • Interest in media relations, press coverage, and publisher partnerships, including researching relevant outlets and audiences
  • Comfort working with digital tools and platforms, including online research, basic document and presentation software, and collaboration tools
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a dispersed team
  • Curiosity about AI search, emerging communications trends, and how brands build credibility and commercial opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and willingness to take initiative and learn from feedback
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field is beneficial but not required
