Job Summary
Pemcoa Foundation LBG is seeking a creative and motivated early-career professional to join its team as a Communications & Knowledge Management Associate. The Associate will support the Foundation's communications, digital visibility, programme documentation and knowledge management activities.
Working under the guidance of senior staff, the Associate will help translate programme activities, results and community experiences into clear and engaging communications products. The role will support the management of Pemcoa Foundation's social media platforms, development of success and impact stories, documentation of project activities, preparation of digital content, and organisation of knowledge and communications materials.
This position provides an opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain practical experience in communications and knowledge management within a development organisation working across areas including agriculture, food security, livelihoods, women's and youth economic empowerment, climate resilience, WASH, public health, gender equality and community development.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and implementation of Pemcoa Foundation's communications and visibility activities.
- Assist with managing and regularly updating the Foundation's social media platforms.
- Develop engaging social media content, including captions, posts, short stories and campaign messages.
- Support the preparation and scheduling of social media content calendars.
- Assist in identifying, documenting and developing programme success stories, impact stories, beneficiary stories and lessons learned.
- Support interviews and information gathering from programme participants, staff and stakeholders for communications and knowledge products.
- Assist with documenting project activities through photographs, short videos, field notes and other appropriate media, with required consent and safeguarding considerations.
- Draft and edit website content, programme updates, news items, profiles, briefs and other communications materials.
- Support the development of simple graphics, presentations and other digital communications products.
- Help maintain organised electronic repositories of photographs, videos, reports, stories, communications products and other knowledge resources.
- Support the documentation and dissemination of programme results, good practices and lessons learned.
- Assist programme and MEL staff to translate monitoring data and programme results into accessible communications products.
- Monitor engagement with the Foundation's digital content and support basic analysis of social media performance.
- Support communications for events, training programmes, stakeholder engagements and community activities.
- Ensure communications materials respect dignity, informed consent, safeguarding, gender equality and social inclusion principles.
- Support consistent use of Pemcoa Foundation's organisational identity and branding across communications products.
- Perform other communications and knowledge management duties appropriate to an entry-level position as assigned by the supervisor.
