Can you help tell the story of how Hospice care helps local people?

At St Leonard’s Hospice, we are looking for a skilled communicator to join as Communications Lead - Clinical & Corporate to amplify the charity’s message, supporting colleagues across clinical and corporate teams to:

  • Educate professionals about the services the Hospice offers, the range of conditions with which we support people and when/how to make referrals for the patient’s greatest benefit
  • Making sure patients, families and carers know what help the Hospice offers and how they can access our support
  • Campaigning for changes in public policy and awareness of palliative and end-of-life issues

This post is intended to work collaboratively across the Hospice to create and share insight-based, audience-focused communications to engage our key audiences.

The role will involve creating compelling content for use across channels, showcasing the value of the Hospice’s work and the difference it makes for patients, families and carers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
