Internal Communications Manager

Salary: Competitive
Location: Bristol or London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with flexible working requests considered where possible
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract / secondment

Overview

Our client is a large UK organisation providing mobility-related services to customers nationwide. They are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join their People Experience function on a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment.

Reporting to the Internal Communications and Engagement Lead, the role will support the delivery of engaging internal communications across the organisation. The successful candidate will source, create and distribute news and updates through multiple channels, helping employees stay informed, connected and able to perform at their best.

The position offers broad exposure across the organisation, with responsibility for digital content, employee engagement channels, stakeholder relationships and internal events.

Responsibilities

  • Create, design and manage content across internal digital channels, ensuring communications are timely, relevant and aligned with activity across the organisation.
  • Source and develop content from teams across the business, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of the internal communications channel strategy to increase employee engagement across digital platforms.
  • Design and deliver creative communications content, including videos, webinars, podcasts, articles and blogs.
  • Lead the organisation's employee social networking platform and develop creative approaches to increasing its impact and engagement.
  • Work with intranet content owners across the organisation to keep information accurate and up to date and support relevant intranet training.
  • Support employee inclusion networks with their communications and engagement plans.
  • Maintain the internal communications calendar and ensure relevant stakeholders have appropriate visibility of planned activity.
  • Act as an internal reporter, proactively identifying stories and developing relationships across the organisation.
  • Support the delivery of face-to-face employee communications and engagement events, including roadshows, networking events, celebration days and conferences.
