Shape the voice of a respected national organisation.

Our client, a national membership organisation representing Local Authority Building Control teams across England and Wales, is evolving. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communications Manager to join the organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is far more than a communications delivery role. We are looking for someone who can help shape the future of its communications function, bringing strategic thinking, fresh ideas, and a proactive approach to how the organisation communicates with members, stakeholders, and the wider sector.

Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll have the opportunity to influence organisational messaging, strengthen brand voice, and develop communications that engage a wide range of audiences.

The Role

You’ll lead the day-to-day communications function while developing a more strategic communications approach across the organisation. Managing a small team of Communications Coordinators, you’ll oversee communications across digital channels, website, email, social media, media relations, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with organisational priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
