Every single day, the creativity, dedication and genuine care for our communities are what push us forward and make this a truly special place to be.

The Role:

The Communications Manager is responsible for supporting QTS’s external communications efforts to enhance the company’s brand, reputation, and community engagement. This in-house role partners closely with marketing operations, public policy, development teams, and external agencies to create and deliver consistent, compelling messaging aligned with QTS’s corporate identity and mission. The Communications Manager will also support media engagement and management, proactive storytelling, and go-to-community communications related to key initiatives and data centre growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage communications content across multiple channels, including press releases, media materials, website content, company statements, FAQs, and storytelling assets.
  • Support the development of proactive narratives and “good news” stories at both national and local community levels across multiple European markets.
  • Execute communications plans that support go-to-community strategies, stakeholder engagement, and data centre launches across key markets in Europe.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, development, public policy, community impact) to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  • Support media relations activities, including responding to inquiries, coordinating interviews, and assisting with proactive outreach.
  • Monitor and analyse industry news, community sentiment, and competitive activity to identify opportunities to strengthen QTS positioning.
  • Track and report on communications metrics, including media coverage, sentiment, and engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, partners, media contacts, and internal teams.
  • Support and attend events, announcements, and community engagements; develop communications materials highlighting corporate milestones and initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
