What you'll be doing?
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, you will support across PR, social media, stakeholder and employee communications.
The role includes:
PR / campaign management
- Support the planning and delivery of national PR campaigns, working closely with internal stakeholders, agencies and external partners.
- Develop proactive media strategies to secure high-quality national, trade and regional media coverage.
- Manage campaign timelines, stakeholder engagement and approval processes.
- Deliver campaign/ PR reporting, measurement and evaluation against agreed KPIs.
- Coordinate media responses and manage inbound press enquiries in line with company policies and messaging.
- Support divisional teams with local PR agencies to drive effective local PR coverage.
- Oversee the company's case study programme, building a pipeline of customer and community stories.
Employee Communications
- Create and publish engaging content across the intranet, email and other internal channels.
- Support the delivery and ongoing development of the Group intranet, including content updates and migration activities.
- Help plan and deliver employee events, including town halls, conferences, recognition and fundraising activities.
- Work with teams across the business to support communications campaigns, employee engagement and change initiatives.
- Monitor channel performance, maintain communications assets and support reporting to improve effectiveness.
Social media / website content
- Manage website content updates to ensure information remains accurate, engaging and aligned with communications priorities.
- Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support SEO/AEO and content optimisation initiatives to improve visibility and performance.
- Develop new webpages and digital content to support campaigns, corporate reporting and key business initiatives.
- Manage and grow the corporate LinkedIn presence, ensuring content supports strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement social media content plans focused on storytelling, thought leadership, campaigns and employee engagement.
- Monitor channel performance and continuously optimise content based on audience insights and platform developments.
- Develop new webpages and digital content to support campaigns, corporate reporting and key business initiatives.

Barratt Redrow Foundation Communications
- Support communications activity for the Barratt Redrow Foundation.
- Develop PR, social media and storytelling content that showcases the Foundation's impact.
- Where applicable coordinate agency support and monitor performance against agreed objectives.
- Produce content for stakeholders, trustees and grant partners, including reports and video case studies.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
Proven communications experience
The post is suitable for someone who has the following skills and qualities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very well organised, with excellent project management and planning skills
- The confidence and ability to communicate and work with colleagues at all levels of the business
- Good communications experience advising senior leaders and managers on all aspects of communications
- Internal / employee communications and event management experience
- Public relations experience including working with or within external agencies
- Knowledge of how local, national and trade media work
- Understanding of the use of social media in a corporate communications environment – in theory and implementation
- Understanding of impact of AI on communications in a corporate communications environment
