Communications Manager

Company: Global Entertainment & Streaming Brand

Location: London — Hybrid (minimum 2-3 days in-office)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Compensation: Approximately £130,000

About the Role

Are you passionate about high-quality television and cinematic storytelling? Do you want to help establish a leading destination for prestige drama, distinctive genre series, and acclaimed films? We are seeking a talented and driven communications consultant to join our global Comms team and amplify our brand across the UK and beyond.

The successful candidate will be a multi-disciplinary communications professional who operates confidently across corporate storytelling, content publicity, and consumer brand PR. We are looking for someone as comfortable crafting a corporate narrative as they are landing a headline for a blockbuster series.

We are a rapidly expanding global subscription and streaming platform delivering a broad lineup of exclusive original series, docuseries, and classic film franchises to international audiences. Our diverse slate includes highly anticipated original programming spanning sci-fi, horror, romantic adventures, and crime thrillers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated content publicity strategies and unit publicity for original series and first-run programming.
  • Create and implement concepts for premieres, launch events, press junkets, set visits, and digital-first activations.
  • Drive consumer brand PR initiatives to build cultural relevance and share of voice across lifestyle, entertainment, and mainstream media.
  • Manage strategic media relations across traditional, digital, and influencer channels alongside broader communications teams.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of media contacts spanning broadcast, print, online, podcasts, and social platforms.
  • Leverage data and insights to inform strategy, measure impact, and optimise PR campaigns.
  • Manage supporting comms agencies to ensure brand alignment and strong return on investment.
  • Oversee budget management, reporting, and cost-efficiency planning.
  • Partner cross-functionally with international comms colleagues, marketing, social media, and events teams to deliver unified campaigns.
  • Provide strategic counsel and clear communications recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and the evolving role of AI in PR workflows.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience across corporate communications, brand PR, and content/entertainment publicity.
  • Proven track record of executing high-impact, integrated communications campaigns with measurable results.
  • Strong media relations skills spanning traditional, digital, and creator channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop corporate narratives and advise senior leadership on strategy.
  • Experience managing external agencies and departmental budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience spanning entertainment, consumer brand, corporate, and sports communications.
  • Deep understanding of the UK media landscape, including digital and creator ecosystems.
  • Expertise in data-driven PR planning and measurement.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in modern communications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global matrix organisation within the media, tech, or entertainment sector.
  • A genuine passion for television and popular culture.
