Provider of public services delivered through a private company needs a proactive public relations and content specialist to join their team. Hybrid working is three days a week on site.
Working with the wider team to bring Comms strategy and structure to the function to ensure they are raising the profile with key stakeholder audiences externally with media and partners as well as internally with its people.
Acting as an internal journalist to find the stories and then package them up to land coverage across national, regional, and social media channels which will support campaign objectives and ROI of marketing activity.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Find stories and create content for use across media, web, social, and internal platforms with an ability to repurpose and make the most use of any content
- Working with the wider team to develop compelling stories and campaigns
- Establish processes and ways of working to foster a more proactive function
- Develop strong relationships across the business and with key external audiences
- Support events and projects
- Manage media monitoring and reporting process

Candidates Must Have:
- Proven media relations experience, ideally gained working for a purpose-led organisation
- Strong writing skills – able to find stories and package them up for different audiences
- Experience devising content for multiple audiences: press, employees, partners, etc.
- Ability to establish rapport quickly with stakeholders and be seen as a trusted advisor and able to challenge professionally whilst maintaining relationships.
This role is based in central Birmingham and hybrid working is three days on site.
