Job Purpose and Impact

Location: Mechelen (Belgium) or Schiphol/Amsterdam (Netherlands) or UK (London or Manchester).

The Manager, Reputation Management EMEA, ensures proper execution of complex and critical communication plans that build and maintain a positive brand reputation, increase visibility and awareness, manage public perception, and support Cargill's business objectives. This role helps drive Cargill's external reputation across EMEA—shaping media narratives, protecting the brand during challenging moments, and building the relationships that keep Cargill credible and visible in key markets.

The role reports into the Regional Director Reputation Management & Social APAC, EMEA, LATAM.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to and execute media plans for specific countries in EMEA—pitching media and coordinating with regional business comms teams and trade media leads to align to strategy
  • Contribute to and execute social editorial plan for region and work with omnichannel senior manager for inclusion on corporate channels; story mine and asset mine for content within region
  • Coordinate / oversee external communications calendar / key external milestones for the EMEA region
  • Contribute to crisis and issues communications plans and execute in the EMEA region
  • Support the development of regional messaging tools, templates, and processes to facilitate consistent external storytelling across the company
  • Maintains positive relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlet contacts through proactive engagement, being responsive and timely, and providing valuable and relevant content to help secure positive media coverage
  • Oversees efforts to positively craft and maintain the organization's external reputation by ensuring positive external communications in specific countries that highlight the organization's strengths, achievements, and global impact contributions, and guiding the implementation of strategies to effectively address negative feedback or issues

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building and protecting a company’s reputation through crisis communications, social media, and media relations. Excellent understanding and execution of integrated communications strategies to build reputation with targeted audiences
  • Influencer, able to provide essential communications counsel to senior leaders at country, enterprise, and group level. Strong execution skills and results
  • Detail-oriented, able to partner seamlessly with comms and marketing team members and agencies for excellence in execution (integrated comms) across paid, owned, and earned channels globally
  • Second language proficiency (Dutch, French, German) preferred but not essential
