Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Manager to establish and develop the communications capability across Rolls-Royce’s engine leasing, asset management, and materials trading businesses: Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance (RRPF) and Aether Asset Management.
The Communications Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering internal and external communications activities that support the approved business strategy, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and enhance the profile of the organisation.
Working closely with senior leadership, the role will ensure that strategic priorities, commercial successes, customer outcomes, and organisational developments are communicated clearly, consistently, and professionally to both internal and external audiences.
The role combines strategic communications planning with hands-on content development and project delivery.
What you will be doing:
Strategic Communications
- Develop and maintain an annual communications plan aligned to approved business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Advise leadership team members on communication opportunities, messaging, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure communications activities are coordinated across RRPF, Aether and Rolls-Royce.
- Measure communication effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
External Communications and Brand Development
- Develop content and communication campaigns that enhance market awareness of APL and RRPF capabilities.
- Coordinate external announcements, press releases, executive profiles, interviews, event participation and thought leadership content.
- Support preparation of marketing materials, presentations, customer-facing collateral and digital content.

- Identify opportunities to showcase business achievements, customer success stories, innovation and growth initiatives.
- Ensure all external communications comply with Rolls-Royce branding, legal and governance requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
