Communications Manager (Communication, Training & Engagement Consultant)

Role Overview
Differentis is seeking a Communications, Training and Stakeholder Engagement Lead to support the delivery of a Protective Security Programme within a Higher Education environment. The role will lead the assessment, design and implementation of communications, training and engagement approaches that drive awareness, preparedness and adoption of new security and emergency response capabilities. Working closely with Security, ICT, Legal, Communications, Estates and operational teams, the role will provide strategic and hands-on support to ensure effective stakeholder engagement, change readiness and successful programme outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery of current communications, training and engagement capabilities.
- Identify stakeholder groups, communication channels, processes and gaps.
- Develop communications, training and engagement strategies and roadmaps.
- Define future-state approaches for awareness, preparedness and adoption.
- Develop communications, training and stakeholder engagement materials.
- Support the implementation and embedding of new security and emergency response capabilities.
- Engage stakeholders across Security, ICT, Legal, Communications, Estates and operational teams.
- Measure effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.

Requirements
- Experience in a Higher Education environment.
- Experience supporting protective security, resilience or emergency preparedness initiatives.
- Experience working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
- Experience delivering communications, training or change programmes.
- Experience operating within complex organisational environments.
- Understanding of security, risk or incident management practices.
- Experience supporting technology-enabled business change.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
