We're looking for a proactive part-time Communications & Marketing Assistant to join our Communications team and help support the delivery of engaging communications, media activity, and events that make a real difference to our communities.
About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with communications, marketing, journalism, or administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their skills in local government communications.
Working alongside experienced communications professionals, you will provide essential administrative support, help manage media and social media activity, assist with website updates, contribute to press releases and publications, and support the delivery of campaigns and events across the Borough.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who has:
- Experience in communications, media relations, journalism, social media, or a similar field.
- Experience of administration and working to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant software packages.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- A Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant subject such as communications, marketing, or visual design.
