Communications and Marketing Manager

We're looking for an ambitious and creative Communications and Marketing Manager to lead how we tell the story of the Students' Union.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the communications strategy for one of the UK's largest Students' Unions, leading a talented team that sits within our Membership Services Directorate while working collaboratively across the whole organisation.

You'll be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious communications and marketing strategy that brings our mission to life. Whether it's showcasing the impact of student representation, encouraging students to join a society, promoting our advice and support services, launching campaigns, celebrating student success or driving engagement with our social enterprises, you'll ensure our communications connect with students in meaningful and authentic ways.

As the lead manager for communications and marketing, you'll oversee our brand, campaigns, digital communications and content, ensuring every interaction reflects who we are and the value we create for students. You'll use insight and evaluation to continually improve how we engage our members, helping more students discover opportunities, influence change and feel part of our community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
