Communications Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Communications Officer to join our organisation on a part-time basis, working two days per week. Flexibility can be offered in terms of days worked or hours per day. We are seeking a creative, and proactive professional with experience in a similar role.
We are a social enterprise working in Waterloo and North Southwark, London SE1. From a derelict site in 1984, we have created a thriving, diverse, vibrant and welcoming ‘mixed use’ neighbourhood – a place for people to live, work and play.
At Coin Street we aim to create a healthy, inspirational and resilient community and we’re proud to have built a national and international reputation for mixed developments, combining housing, cultural, commercial and community uses on London’s South Bank. Coin Street is a high-profile social enterprise with many and varied stakeholders and audiences. Our neighbourhood and the commercial environment are going through significant change and our communication needs to evolve with it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
