Work for Orbit. Believe in people.
The role
Orbit is delighted to be recruiting for a Communications Project Lead to join the team on a 12 month FTC until mid-August 2027. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to shape how we communicate one of the biggest operational changes at Orbit - the creation of our new in-house repairs team.
As Communications Project Lead, you’ll take ownership of communications for this transformation, helping colleagues understand, feel confident in, and get excited about the journey we’re on. From onboarding new teams to bringing our values to life, you’ll play a central role in building pride, clarity and belief across our repairs and maintenance workforce. You’ll also make sure that the rest of our colleagues are kept up to date with what’s happening.
You’ll work at the heart of a fast-moving programme, partnering with operational, people, reputation & brand, engagement and L&D teams to deliver clear, human, and engaging communications. You’ll help shape how our new in-house repairs service lands with new and existing colleagues and ultimately how we deliver services to our customers. Great communication is critical to building trust, confidence and pride during change - and you’ll be at the centre of making that happen.
This is an agile working role with roughly one day per week based out of our Coventry office (subject to change based on business need/in-person meetings). This role is part of People and Strategy where you'll help us to build a culture and brand that people want to be part of.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
