Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

You'll already have communications experience and be confident creating high-quality content for internal audiences. You're naturally curious, enjoy building relationships and can translate complex information into clear and engaging messages. You'll be comfortable working in a busy environment, handling multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs. Most importantly, you'll take ownership of your work, demonstrate sound judgement and be someone that colleagues enjoy partnering with. This is a delivery-focused role rather than a communications strategy position, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on while continuing to build their communications expertise and influence.

Whilst not essential, we'd welcome applications from candidates who hold, or are working towards, a professional communications qualification, accreditation or membership with a recognised body such as the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

Essential Criteria

  • Communications experience and knowledge, ideally gained within an internal communications environment.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience creating content for a variety of communication channels.
  • Experience planning and delivering communications activities or campaigns.

Desirable Criteria

  • Professional communications qualification or membership of a recognised communications body, such as the Institute of Internal Communication or CIPR.
  • Experience within financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Asana.
  • Understanding of communications governance and approval processes.
