Are you a talented communications professional who thrives in fast-paced transformation environments? Do you have a passion for crafting compelling content that drives engagement, builds confidence, and helps people embrace change?

CRH is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist / Content Creator to play a pivotal role in the Connect Upgrade Programme, a major SAP S/4HANA transformation spanning multiple European operating companies. This is a unique opportunity to join CRH's largest technology investment to date and help drive successful adoption across a complex, multinational business.

Working alongside the Organisational Change Management (OCM) team, you'll bring the programme to life through impactful communications, engaging content, and strong stakeholder engagement. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact within an active transformation programme already underway.

What You'll Be Doing

Drive Programme Communications

  • Support the delivery and execution of the programme communications strategy
  • Maintain and evolve the communications plan in partnership with key project stakeholders
  • Align communication activities with major programme milestones, including design, testing, training, deployment, cutover, go-live, and hypercare
  • Ensure communications support business readiness, user adoption, and overall change objectives

Create Engaging Content

  • Develop High-quality Communications Materials, Including
  • Programme updates and announcements
  • Leadership communications and executive messaging
  • Newsletters and campaign content
  • Town hall presentations and supporting materials
  • FAQs and user guidance
  • Infographics and visual communications
  • Video and digital content
  • Training, adoption, and readiness communications

You'll ensure all content is clear, engaging, consistent, and aligned with programme branding and governance standards.

Engage Diverse Stakeholders

  • Develop targeted messaging and communications for a broad audience, including:
    • Executive Sponsors
    • Steering Committee members
    • Business Leaders and Managers
    • Functional SMEs
    • End Users
    • Local Operating Companies across Europe
    • Change Champions and Change Networks

You'll also support leaders with briefing packs, presentations, key messages, and talking points to ensure a consistent voice across the programme.

Measure Impact

  • Monitor communications effectiveness and engagement levels
  • Provide insights and reporting to programme leadership
  • Identify communication risks and issues and recommend mitigation actions
  • Continuously improve communications based on feedback and programme needs

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in communications, internal communications, change communications, or employee engagement
  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP, technology, or business transformation programmes
  • Proven ability to develop communications for complex, multi-country initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including executive-level communications
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to work effectively within client, consultancy, and vendor delivery environments

Additional Information

  • Candidates must already have the right to work within the EU. Sponsorship is not available.
  • Regular travel will be required, including visits to the UK, Dublin, and Amsterdam (typically at least once per month), along with occasional travel to project locations across Europe.
  • Target start date: October 2026.
