About Hampton Pool

Hampton Pool Trust is an independent charity that exists to secure the future of Hampton Pool, one of the UK’s best-loved open-air swimming pools and the only London lido open 365 days a year. The Trust works in partnership with South Downs Leisure (SDL) to operate and develop the pool as a sustainable, community-run health and wellbeing location.

As the Trust enters a critical period of fundraising, development and long-term sustainability planning, we are looking for a communications leader to help unify our story, strengthen audience engagement and build an integrated communications engine that supports both pool growth and Trust fundraising ambitions.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on communications leader who combines strong storytelling and campaign expertise with practical AI fluency and modern digital operations capability.

This is not a traditional charity communications role. You will help shape the communications strategy alongside trustees and committee members, while also creating the systems, processes and editorial rhythm required to deliver it consistently across all Hampton Pool channels together with SDL’s marketing and operational teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
