Role: Communities Liaison Manager
Salary: £56,526.71 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195.
Location: Head Office London and Westminster
Duration: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract and for the period only that Andy Burnham is Leader of the Labour Party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. There is the potential for the contract to be extended.
The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Communities Liaison Manager. The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the development of strategic plans to ensure the Leader’s political priorities are supported through engagement across key communities, collaborating across government and the Labour Party to ensure there is effective engagement, and communication between the government and Black and minority ethnic communities.

- Support the development of strategic plans to ensure the Leader’s political priorities are supported through engagement across key communities.
- Collaborate across government and the Labour Party to ensure there is effective engagement, and communication between the government and Black and minority ethnic communities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the experiences, priorities and diversity of Black and minority ethnic communities across the UK.
- Knowledge of community engagement, partnership working and relationship-building with representative bodies.
- Experience of developing and delivering engagement strategies or programmes.
- Experience of coordinating work across multiple teams, organisations, the Labour Party’s stakeholder team or Government Departments.
