Job Title: Community CAMHS Core Trainee Doctor
Contract: 10 Programmed Activities (10 PAs)
This post is for a community CAMHS Trainee Doctor (CT LAS) position in the Redbridge CAMHS Community Team, based at the Redbridge Child Development Centre, Groveland’s, Grove Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, RM6 4XH.
The purpose of this job description is to outline the level of responsibility and accountability of this post. This will ensure that all work undertaken by our staff is clearly identified and carried out under clear lines of accountability.
The expectation of the post holder is to support their team, department and organisation to follow the Trust’s Values in their day-to-day work.

A lot of transformation has taken place already and continues to take place within Redbridge Community CAMHS Services. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit substantively to this post as soon as possible.
The postholder will be part of the CAMHS Psychiatrist on-call rota covering out of hours and weekends for Mental Health Services in NELFT. The on call will cover service delivery for Children and Adolescents presenting with mental health problems.

The on-call rota is covered by the local community substantive CAMHS consultants and the two inpatient consultants. This rota is currently 1:12 rota, with a 3% Category A salary supplement. Once this post is filled, the rota would be 1:13, which equates to 4 weeks a year.
The successful candidate will work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Redbridge.
The successful candidate will provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
