Role Description
The Community Care Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Wirral and Cheshire West, supporting individuals in their own homes to live safely, comfortably, and independently. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Providing personal care
- Assisting with mobility
- Supporting with meals and medication
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with daily living tasks such as shopping, light household duties, and escorting to appointments or social activities

Community Care Assistants are expected to:
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Follow care plans and risk assessments
- Communicate any changes in clients’ needs to the care team
The position requires working flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of clients.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Caregiving skills and experience, including dementia care or supporting individuals with varying physical and cognitive needs.
- Practical skills in manual handling and safe mobility support, following training and established procedures.
- Ideally, have previous experience in domiciliary or community care, or a genuine interest in starting a career in care.
- Reliability, empathy, patience, and the ability to work independently while following care plans.
- Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) are beneficial but not essential, as training and development opportunities may be provided.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are advantageous for travelling between clients in the community.
