Community Care Assistant – Peterborough

Pay: £12.90 per hour

Location: Peterborough and surrounding areas

Alternate weekend availability required

Applicants must be based in or around Peterborough and have the right to work in the UK for this role. Sponsorship is not available.


About the Role:

Bee’s Care Ltd is recruiting compassionate, reliable Care Assistants to support people in their own homes. Whether you have care experience or are starting a new career, we provide paid training and ongoing support to help you develop your skills and confidence.

Shift Patterns:

Our shift periods are:

  • 7am–2pm
  • 7am–6pm
  • 2pm–10pm
  • 5pm–10pm

Please tell us which shift patterns you can work when applying. Applicants must be available to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities:

You will travel to people’s homes across Peterborough and surrounding areas, providing care tailored to their needs. Your duties may include:

  • Supporting personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Preparing meals and helping with everyday household tasks
  • Providing medication support in line with training and care plans
  • Offering companionship and emotional support
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Recording care provided and reporting changes or concerns

Requirements:

You will need to:

  • Be kind, patient, and dependable
  • Be able to travel between care visits in the local area
  • Be available to work alternate weekends
  • Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and the office team
  • Be comfortable working independently, with support available
  • Be willing to learn and follow care plans and procedures
  • Previous care experience, a Care Certificate, or a relevant Health and Social Care qualification is welcomed but not essential.
