Community Carer – Todmorden & Hebden Bridge

Salary: £13.00–£14.00 per hour

Mileage: 55p per mile

Location: Todmorden and Hebden Bridge

Job Type: Flexible hours available

Job Description

Rotherwood Cares is currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Community Carers to support individuals within their own homes across the Todmorden and Hebden Bridge areas.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting people to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life within their local communities.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Supporting service users with medication in accordance with care plans and relevant procedures.
  • Assisting with moving and handling, following appropriate training and safety guidelines.
  • Preparing meals and supporting service users with nutrition and hydration.
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Assisting with household tasks where required as part of the care plan.
  • Monitoring service users' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records and following individual care plans.
  • Adhering to safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures.

Requirements

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Access to your own reliable vehicle.
  • A caring, patient, and professional approach.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently within the community.
  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
  • Relevant care qualifications and training are advantageous.
