Job Opportunity: Community Senior Nurse

About the Role

Welwyn and Hatfield Integrated Community Team are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Community Senior Nurse to join our friendly, supportive and Gold Accredited Team.

You will be working alongside our nursing support staff, therapy staff and core nursing team to provide safe, effective, and high quality care to our patients within their own homes.

Induction and Training

We understand how important it is to have time to settle in to a new team; all staff joining our team are provided with a thorough 4-6 week induction period. Here, you will have the chance to work as a supernumerary member of the team, shadowing numerous staff in various roles within and outside of our team before working independently.

We facilitate our staff to access an extensive training and education programme, as well as a range of personal and professional development opportunities including the PgDip Specialist Community Nursing course and prescribing courses. We also offer training in leadership and management to support you to manage your team effectively. In order to support your clinical and professional development, we provide regular supervision, held alternatively with a matron and manager.

Working Hours and Flexibility

Our service operates 8am – 10pm, 365 days a year. We can offer flexible working patterns and pride ourselves on working with our staff to ensure their work schedule supports a healthy work life balance. We are happy to consider part time applicants.

Requirements

A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
