Welwyn and Hatfield Integrated Community Team
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Community Senior Nurse to join our friendly, supportive, and Gold Accredited Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside our nursing support staff, therapy staff, and core nursing team to provide safe, effective, and high-quality care to our patients within their own homes.
Induction Period
- All staff joining our team are provided with a thorough 4-6 week induction period.
- During this period, you will have the chance to work as a supernumerary member of the team, shadowing numerous staff in various roles within and outside of our team before working independently.
Recruitment Prioritization
HCT will prioritize recruitment of workers living in England under the new immigration rules for care workers effective from 9 April 2025. Employers must first prove that they have attempted to recruit a worker from within England who needs new sponsorship.

About the Service
Welwyn and Hatfield Integrated Community Team is an expanding and evolving service. We provide a wide range of nursing-led care to people within their own homes. As a nurse in our team, you will be supported to develop and broaden your skill set.
Training and Development
- Facilitate access to an extensive training and education programme.
- Opportunities include the PgDip Specialist Community Nursing course, prescribing courses, and training in leadership and management.
- Regular supervision held alternatively with a matron and manager to support your clinical and professional development.
Working Hours and Patterns
- Our service operates 8am – 10pm, 365 days a year.
- We offer flexible working patterns and pride ourselves on working with our staff to ensure their work schedule supports a healthy work-life balance. We are happy to consider part-time applicants.
Requirements
- A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
