Job Description
Position Overview
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Anyone wishing to apply for the post as a secondment must seek approval from their Line Manager before applying.
About the Role
Do you have a passion for working with children with additional and complex health needs and are looking to develop your knowledge and skills in this field? If so, we currently have a band 5 vacancy to work in one of our Special Schools in Cwm Taf Morgannwg.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide nursing care to children and young people who have additional/complex needs within a Special School or Observation Unit within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and will work within clearly defined occupational policies, codes of practice, and professional guidelines.
- Provide nursing care to children and young people who have additional/complex needs within a Special School or Observation Unit.
- Work within clearly defined occupational policies, codes of practice, and professional guidelines.
- Work as part of the Children's Community Nursing Team.
- Support the Health and MDT clinics held within the school environment.

Requirements
- Ability to work autonomously, motivated, reliable, innovative, and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Comprehensive induction and ongoing training will be provided.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
