Sheffield United Community Foundation Community Coach
Sheffield United Community Foundation is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and dedicated individual to the role of Community Coach.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a range of school and community programmes across Sheffield, including Curriculum PE, Premier League Primary Stars, extra-curricular clubs, football development activity and holiday camps.
Working with children and young people in schools and community settings, the postholder will plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions, support participant development, monitor outcomes and contribute to the ongoing success of the Foundation’s programmes.
The role provides an exciting opportunity to work within a professional football club charity environment and positively impact the lives of children and young people across South Yorkshire.
High Level Summary
- Term: Fixed term until 31 August 2028 (subject to continuation of funding)
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Salary: £23,132 – £26,132 per annum
- Location: Schools, community venues and Foundation delivery sites across Sheffield
- Department: Participation & Inclusion
- Line Manager: Ash Ibbotson, School Sport Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Physical Education, School Sport, PL Primary Stars and community coaching sessions.
- Record participant engagement, outcomes and impact using Foundation monitoring systems.
- Ensure all delivery complies with safeguarding, health and safety and GDPR requirements.
- Build positive relationships with schools, participants, parents and partner organisations.
- Support Foundation events and matchday activities as required.
