Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role

This is an exciting time to join the Community Engagement Team at Manchester Airport. We're a team that is continually looking to learn, improve and evolve our approach. We are passionate about building trust with our communities, exploring new ways to engage more people, and sharing best practice to ensure local voices help shape our plans and decisions and so we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset. You’ll deliver the relevant aspects of the Group Sustainability Strategy at an airport level and develop and inform airport community programmes. You’ll work with external stakeholders to deliver community support projects, including airport volunteering and delivering airport community consultations, so that the reputation of MAG’s airports is promoted and protected. You’ll deliver the implementation of community mitigation schemes including our sound insulation grant scheme and vortex damage, and the community trust fund. You’ll support our formal engagement with key community stakeholders through forums and our airport consultative committees, and you’ll represent the airport at community events in the towns and villages close to the airport.

What will make you successful in the role?

You’ll have strong communication and presentation skills, including an ability to speak confidently in public and produce high-quality written communication materials. You’ll have strong organisational skills and be able to manage and work to deadlines. You’ll also have the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders, including local residents, with different requirements, styles and needs, with highly developed listening skills to understand what people’s views are without influencing them. You’ll also have the ability to work in challenging environments and deal with conflict sensitively and confidently. You’ll be an effective team member with the flexibility to sometimes attend events on evenings and weekends.
