Community Engagement Officer
Notts County Foundation | Nottingham
2-year fixed-term contract | Starting salary £25,000
Are you passionate about using sport to bring people together, create opportunities and make a positive difference in the community?
Notts County Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Community Engagement Officer to join our team.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll help deliver inclusive community programmes, create memorable matchday experiences and support people of all backgrounds to access and enjoy sport.
About the role
You’ll play a key role in delivering Premier League Fans Fund activity, with a particular focus on disability sport, SEND provision and inclusive participation.
You’ll also help deliver community events, school activity, Premier League Kicks, holiday clubs and matchday activations, while building strong relationships with schools, community groups, charities, local authorities, supporters’ groups and other partners.
No two days will be the same — from delivering inclusive sport sessions and Pan-Disability football to organising Boccia festivals, Open Iftar and matchday activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate community engagement activities and events.
- Deliver inclusive sport sessions for children, young people and adults, including SEND, Pan-Disability football, multisport and Boccia.
- Coordinate Premier League Fans Fund activity and small-grant activations.
- Create engaging matchday experiences for supporters, families and community groups.
- Develop strong relationships with schools, charities, community organisations and partners.
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across all activity.
- Monitor participation, collect feedback and contribute to reports, case studies and project evaluation.
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with safeguarding, health and safety, equality and data protection requirements.

About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about sport, community engagement and inclusion.
- Experienced in delivering sessions for individuals with SEND.
- Confident building relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator and enthusiastic team player.
- Knowledgeable about equality, diversity and inclusion and barriers to participation.
- Comfortable working independently and using IT and databases.
- Willing to travel and work outside normal office hours, including weekends. The role will operate Tuesday–Saturday.
A Level 2 Sport Coaching qualification (such as UEFA C or equivalent) and GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above are essential.

Experience of Premier League Charitable Fund programmes, football development, community inclusion projects, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge of local community networks would be desirable.
