Company Description

IQ Club is a growing non-profit educational religious institution established in 2018 and based in Manchester, UK. It offers online and offline circle programs designed to strengthen Qur’anic values among young people in the Indonesian Muslim community across the UK, including Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The organization focuses on accessible, community-centered learning that supports personal growth and faith-based education for youth. Role Description

The Community Engagement Officer volunteer role is a remote position focused on building and maintaining strong relationships with youth, parents, and community partners across the Indonesian Muslim community in the UK. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating outreach activities, supporting online and offline circle programs, and helping to organize community events and initiatives that promote Qur’anic values. The role involves communicating regularly with stakeholders, gathering feedback from participants, and contributing to the planning and improvement of educational activities. The Community Engagement Officer will collaborate with team members, prepare updates or reports on engagement efforts, and help develop strategies to increase participation and strengthen community ties.

Qualifications

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Community Engagement experience, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse age groups and backgrounds.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and culturally sensitive outreach.
  • Basic Project Management abilities, such as organizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and coordinating community activities or events.
  • Familiarity with or interest in Qur’anic values and youth education within the Indonesian Muslim community, or comparable community-based faith settings.
  • Comfort working remotely, using online communication tools, and collaborating in a volunteer-based organizational environment.
  • Previous experience in community work, education, youth programs, or non-profit initiatives is beneficial but not required.
