Mobile working with office in Newton Abbot
36.25 hours per week, Salary £25,346 per annum
Fixed term until April 2028
Target Start Date: ASAP
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Community Estates Worker to join our team primarily covering the South Devon area. This is full time, Monday to Friday role covering our South Devon communities. You will be working on a fixed term contract until April 2028 and will be provided with a company vehicle with business fuel card and uniform.
You will provide a high quality and effective maintenance service to Westward estates, ensuring our communities are free from rubbish and safe for our customers and acting as an advocate for Westward when engaging with customers.

- Carrying out minor maintenance work, such as general labouring, unblocking wastes, moving heavy household items or white goods, assembling furniture, minor decorating and litter picking
- Ensuring play areas are kept clean and safe
- Completing seasonal duties by clearing leaves, moss, snow and ice from communal entrances
- Completing visual risk assessments of communal facilities and raising actions with the teams
Is this you?
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Previous experience of working as a caretaker or handyperson
- Understanding of health and safety at work
- Experience using a range of hand tools and ability to lift household items such as fridges and furniture
- Hold a full UK driving licence
