We are WR Fundraising Recruitment and we are thrilled to be working with an inspirational regional charity looking for a new Community and Events Fundraising Manager to lead their high achieving team.
The charity enjoys a wealth of local support from community groups, schools, individuals, and volunteers, and we’re looking for someone to manage the wonderful relationships with their supporters and oversee the success of a successful portfolio of events.
We're looking for an experienced fundraiser to be part of a re-energised community fundraising team looking to reach new heights. This is a great opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills to raise crucial funds for a high-profile cause.
Community & Events Fundraising Manager
- Full Time, Permanent
- East London / West Essex with hybrid working
- Up to circa £43,700 per annum on experience
- Driving licence and access to vehicle required

Duties will include:
- Developing and delivering the events and community fundraising strategy, ensuring activities are supporter-focused, insight-led, and achieve ambitious income targets.
- Oversee an established programme of fundraising events while identifying new opportunities to grow income, reach new audiences, and strengthen community engagement.
- Work to increase the supporter base across the region and generate support through community fundraising activity.
- Responsibility for the safe and effective running of all hospices organized events and campaigns.
- Developing donor journeys for the event & community supporters, working with the wider directorate to ensure first-class stewardship is delivered.
The ideal candidates will:
- Experience of developing community fundraising strategies, with a fresh approach and the ability to innovate.
- Experience of managing successful fundraising events.
- A track record of success in fundraising across a range of supporter groups.
- Strong budget management and financial planning skills.
- An engaging communication style with the ability to inspire colleagues, volunteers, and supporters.
- Excellent organization skills, managing multiple priorities, providing a high level of customer care.
- Experience of leading, developing, and motivating teams.
