Public Services Department | Full-Time
Starting Pay: $28.00/hour minimum, depending on qualifications.
The Village of Mount Horeb is seeking a Community Forester/Arborist to care for the trees and public spaces that make our community a great place to live. If you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in hands-on work, join our Public Services team!
What you’ll do:
- Plant, prune, assess, plan, maintain, and remove trees along Village streets and in parks.
- Operate forestry equipment and assist with park and facility maintenance, and snow removal.
- Occasional evening, weekend, and emergency work is required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and two years of professional experience in urban forestry or a related field required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in urban forestry, arboriculture, or a related field preferred.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and the required CDL, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- ISA Arborist Certification, or ability to obtain within one year of hire, preferred.
