About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Community Fundraiser with a proven track record of generating income and building successful supporter relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to use your fundraising expertise to inspire local people, schools, community groups and businesses to support hospice care across eastern Hertfordshire.

This is more than a fundraising role - it's an opportunity to become a trusted ambassador for the hospice, building lasting relationships, developing new fundraising opportunities and helping ensure more local families receive outstanding hospice care when they need it most.

No two days are the same. One day you could be supporting a local running club raising money in memory of a loved one, the next you'll be meeting a business to develop a new corporate partnership, helping a school plan a fundraising campaign, or working with volunteers at one of our community events.

You'll have the opportunity to meet inspiring people from all walks of life, working alongside schools, faith groups, community organisations, volunteers and local businesses to help turn great ideas into successful fundraising activities.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospice, you'll:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
