Team Management

• Develop and performance manage a high performing team of fundraising professionals that are well networked and represented across the charity and fundraising sector.
• Upskill the team in and embed the use of data and insight to inform decision making, including championing the team to keep abreast of sector trends and changes to market conditions.

Stewardship and Acquisition

• Lead on the delivery of an audience and insight led acquisition programme, to maximise support and overall net return.
• Develop, support the delivery of and evaluate a strategic supporter journey and stewardship journey across the Community Fundraising programme focused on generating net return and supporter retention.

Stakeholder Management

• Foster effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders including colleagues from across the charities, the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust, and third-party suppliers.
• Work closely with Senior Managers and Managers within the department to ensure all opportunities for collaboration are maximised.

Other Responsibilities

• Undertake other duties as decided in conjunction with the Head of Community & Events.
• Role responsibilities are not exhaustive, and you would be reasonably expected to take on wider tasks that are commensurate with the level of your role.

• Ability to work at a strategic level, developing and overseeing the delivery and performance against those plans.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and balance a busy and varied workload.
• Computer literacy, i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills with the ability to motivate and influence people.
• Ability to work as part of a team and also to use own initiative.
• Willingness to work hard and attend, where necessary, commitments outside normal office hours.

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications:

• A proven track record of excellent management of a community fundraising programme to meet ambitious income and acquisition targets.
• Experience of delivering data and insight led acquisition and stewardship programmes to drive acquisition and net income.
• Experience of managing multiple projects with complex budgets, multiple stakeholders and stretching KPIs.
• Line management and team development experience.
• Experience with managing suppliers to deliver bespoke events.
• Knowledge of a Fundraising Database (e.g. Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce).
• Understanding of NHS Charities or healthcare fundraising.
