Salary: £44,500

Contract: 10 - 12 month FTC

Location: Hybrid - London 2 days/week in the office

Closing date: ASAP applications reviewed on a rolling basis

We have a great opportunity for a Church Engagement & Fundraising Officer working for Christian Aid, one of the UK's leading international development charities, mobilising churches, communities and supporters to tackle poverty, injustice and the impacts of climate change around the world.

As part of this exciting role, you will:

  • Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of churches, Christian Aid groups and volunteers, building strong partnerships through both face-to-face and virtual engagement.
  • Identify new church supporters, grow existing relationships and inspire individuals and congregations to Give, Act and Pray.
  • Promote Christian Aid at events and meetings.
  • Support and develop volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate supporter records.
  • Use data and insights to maximise engagement and deliver impactful fundraising and campaigning outcomes.

To be successful as the Church Engagement & Fundraising Officer you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of working with church audiences and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience of recruiting, supporting or mentoring volunteers to help achieve organisational objectives.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire people to fundraise, campaign and take action.
