Exciting Opportunity: Full Time Band 6 Physiotherapist at Brixham Hospital
We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and enthusiastic therapy team based at Brixham Hospital. This role focuses on supporting the delivery of Physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation programmes for patients admitted to our medical wards, facilitating them to recover and leave hospital as quickly as possible. This role may also involve providing support to Jack Sears Rehab Unit according to service demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients in their recovery through Physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation programs.
- Provide support to Jack Sears Rehab Unit as needed.
- Work within a rehabilitative setting with a focus on a home first approach.
Ideal Candidate
If you enjoy working within a rehabilitative setting and have a passion for supporting a home first approach for our patients, then this role could be for you. Our patients present with a wide variety of conditions including general medical, orthopaedic, and long-term conditions, offering clinical variety.

- Suitable for someone with existing Band 6 experience.
- Will consider applications from suitable Band 5 candidates for a developmental role.
Requirements
- Broad range of post-graduate experience, including within an NHS health care of the older person setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good understanding of hospital discharge processes.
- Experience in service development/improvement would be an advantage.
Working Environment
Under the supervision of the B7 Inpatient Therapy Manager, you will be responsible for the continued development of the Physiotherapy service within the Brixham community hospital ward.
